There is actually time for naps in our structure, so the game speed does not need to be such a worry

Clock started at 19:29 with seven players.
We TOLD Tournament Director Paul Kelly that it’s unprofessional not to start on time, but he never listens.

We’re sticking with the traditional ante for this tournament, and this information was received with mixes feelings by the regular players locally.
We are pleased to say that at this point, no-one has forgotten to put their ante in, probably because the antes don’t kick in for another four levels.

Lvl 2 – 50/100 – 22/22 players

Sudden influx of bodies for this local event.
We have a couple of satellite qualifiers, both from the online and the live satellites. We have a player from the UK here who would only play if the rugby was guaranteed to be on in the club on Sunday: reasonable request!

Lvl 3 – 75/150 – 23/23 players

3 tables and only one minor dispute so far. If we can keep it at that ratio all weekend then that’ll be superb because it’s only a small game.

BREAK – 15mins

Lvl 4 – 100/200 – 24/25 players

One re-entry and we carry on into the night with the slow structure. We are giving away promotional decks of redbetLIVE playing cards this weekend.

Lvl 5 -100/200/25 – 25/27 players

Two re-entries have taken place as we swoop into the first level with traditional antes. The drama is real.

Lvl 6 -150/300/25 – 27/30 players

Time is flying by here tonight as players come and go. There is a live saxophonist playing in the main casino so we’ve been funking out to his tunage.

Local poker celebrity, Totti Lind has arrived, he may or may not play. The cash machine appears to be malfunctioning, so he’s probably going to have to put on a sexy strip show for the slots ladies to collect the buyin.

BREAK – 15 mins

Quite a busy Friday flight for us on this little, local poker event. Atmosphere is very relaxed and no-one’s been too infuriated with the traditional ante format as yet!

There are three more levels for registration as it closes at 00:30 after level 9. Play continues till the end of level 12 today, and will finish around 02:30.

Lvl 8 – 250/500/50 – 26/33 players

It’s the incremental levels that make the difference, sitting down now would equip you with 60 bigs, which is enough to make some noise.redbetlive dragonara malta feb2019 day1a
